Meet Chef Melodi Harrison

Chef Melodi Harrison is a traditionally trained personal chef who was born and raised in Inglewood, California. Her years of experience as a private chef, and knowledge in food preparation and catering services have been a solid foundation for her expanding personal chef business.

Chef Mel attended the Art Institute of Las Vegas where she received her Associates of Science in Culinary Arts. She has over 15 years of experience as a personal chef and professional caterer.

Where the Passion Started

At the tender age of five, Melodi Harrison remembers being in the kitchen with her grandmother and aunts as they cooked family meals daily. It was within those moments she found her passion for cooking. She started out just dicing tomatoes and other vegetables, before she knew it, she was cooking whole meals for the family alongside her mother and other family members.

As she grew up, Melodi explored different avenues as she didn’t think being a Chef was a viable option. It wasn’t until she faced certain life burdens and obstacles that she realized her love and passion for cooking never left.

Melodi decided to take a chance by packing up and leaving Los Angeles, moving to Las Vegas, to pursue her passion in cooking. She then attended the Art Institute of Las Vegas, Culinary Arts where she learned different techniques in cooking and combined them with what she already knew, making her a well-rounded chef.

Upon graduation, Chef Mel remembers sacrificing countless hours by working and going to school, surviving financially by cooking and delivering food to friends and other people she already knew in Las Vegas.
